Girls normally dream of being a princess, dressed in a beautiful gown and wearing a sparkling tiara amongst her other jewellery. But one lucky young lady's dreams will come true in October 2000 at our world wide pageant when she is crowned Miss Intercontinental World.
The crown has been custom made for the World Beauty Organisation (WBO) and bears over 700 perfect diamonds weighing 16 carats plus a large diamond of 5 and a half carats filled with water from the famous yellow river in china, in all this crown is unique with total weight of 21 carats.
The miss intercontinental crown is valued at $360,000 US dollars and was commissioned by the world beauty organisation in 2005 as a tribute to its 36th year history.
Miss Intercontinental Liverpool 2009
Miss Intercontinental Liverpool 2009 was held at the exclusive Kingdom-Liverpool in the heart of the City centre.
With 23 beautiful girls competing for the title the venue was packed, and a constant hive of activity. The judges had a hard time choosing the eventual winner as all the girls looked stunning. However Sophie Larissa Houghton just had that extra sparkle on the night and was crowned Miss Intercontinental Liverpool 2009.
On winning the title Sophie said:
`I was really shocked when my name was called out as the winner of Miss Intercontinental Liverpool for 2009. As I walked onto the stage to be presented with my crown, sash, and gifts the amount of flashing cameras suprised me, for a second it was just so sureal.`
`I felt that I was smiling so much my cheeks were starting to wobble it was crazy. It just felt amazing, unlike anything I have ever felt before. I felt really privileged to have won because all 23 girls were beautiful. It was a wonderful event, fantasticaly organised, lovely venue and I had such a fab time`
